Happy Thanksgiving To All!

November 26th, 2009 by admin

While our characters do not celebrate this fairly modern holiday, as Administrator of this blog, I would like to wish everyone in our museum, and especially all of you readers of these reportings, a very happy Thanksgiving! I am wishing for all of you the blessing of having many things to be thankful for.

My class and I just completed an online collaborative project from the PBS series Colonial House. As a part of our project, we learned about many facts and misconceptions about Thanksgiving and the first colonies. As a part of this project my students have enjoyed sites such as this one that incorporate modern day people discussing their experiences as they step into the shoes of colonists of early North America. If any of the visitors of this site are interested in participating in an online collaborative project that incorporates technology standards with social studies standards the Colonial House project was very sucessful for my students.

Hi Buddy, just came by to check out your “so called Pilgrim” blog. What a wonderful idea and the posts are lovely. I’ve spent the last hour or so reading over many of them instead of writing a final paper for graduate school. Thanks for the thought provoking diversion!
