If you love playing with fire and enjoy cooking, then this is the workshop for you! Spend the day in the Pilgrim homes at the Museum’s charming Colonial Education Site cooking up a seasonal storm. Two hearths, no waiting! After a cozy and industrious day by the hearth, you will enjoy the fruits (and meats and sauces) of your labors while sharing sources and resources with your fellow foodies.

Pre-registration is required.
To register, call 508-746-1622, ext. 8359 or email

There will be other hearth cooking workshops through the season that will be less rugged shall we say, then being outdoors in February in New England. This is for those with some hearth cooking experience, and a tolerance for cold weather.

The baking workshop is in June.

What FABULOUS news! I have emailed and phoned to reserve a spot. I am now in prayer mode requesting/beseeching the Almighty that the weekend does not also include the “Blizzard of ’13.”

Wishing you a healthy, prosperous and joyous new year whether it start in March or January.

    Is there a member discount?

    • KM Wall says:

There’s only one price for this workshop – there are several other workshops being offered through the year that have a member price. They are listed under Programs for Adults in the Learn More section of the website.
