- A beautiful day for hauling the ship out of the water. Dockside, Fairhaven shipyard.
- Looking forward towards land, ship in the submerged railway car.
- Cranking in the blocking on the railway car to keep the ship upright when it comes out of the water.
- The railway on which the ship will be hauled. Note the car on which the ship will ride has already been lowered down into the water.
- With the ship floated into the railway car, big measuring sticks are used to assure the ship is securly in the middle.
- Success! The ship is high and dry and ready for winter work to commence.

Hey Peter,
Thanks so much for sharing these pictures, it’s so great to see what’s going on below the water line….so to speak…really happy to see the blog up and running again too!
Maybe your next post can be about mine and Danny’s contest?
See you soon,
Sally
Sally, you know you can’t put sprinkles on Salisbury steak.
